ODE LIFE:
I seriously got into coding for the web just after high school by creating small static html websites for my own projects. Fast forward a few years later I decided to attend Everest College (at the time it was CDI. They decided to change their name mid semester without notice so walking in on that following Monday was a trip). During my time at the institution I got a better handle on connecting HTML with CSS to really shape, color and round off my websites. I also learned about programming with PHP and dealing with the back-end of the servers I was working on. Upon graduating in 2008 I started freelancing and personally dealing with clients and developing strong business relationships and realistically that is where I learned the most as a freelance web developer.
LITTLE SHOP OF PHOTO:
Photoshop was another small hobby of mine before attending school used in created small garbage logos and artwork for music projects I was involved in. During school it was incorporated in a few lessons and modules but was not deeply focused on. It became a large part of my business as I was always asked if I did logos, and of course, I did...and even if my client didn't ask I would end up creating one for the sake of the website and it's completion. After developing a website for a local media company my skills were truly tested creating multi purpose graphics, posters, event tickets and a brochure or two. The Adobe Suite is still one of my most go to software packages when working with any client.
IN TUNE ( SORT OF - THIS IS ROCK 'N ROLL! )
My first instrument was a bass guitar purchased by my grandmother when I was 13 because my neighbor had a guitar and wanted to start a band. 2 months later I bought his guitar off of him and that's really where it all began. At 17 I began experimenting with Digital Audio Workstations and combined them with an old Casio keyboard and the SU700 sampling unit music completely changed for me. Having learned to play keyboards specifically for an industrial goth rock band from Toronto I began flip-flopping instruments to bass, back to guitar, to live sampling and eventually forming my own musical projects that are still alive and well today.
